Economics and Society

Established in 2017, Bristol’s economics and society list publishes academic titles (including ‘shorts’), student textbooks, and general interest titles. We welcome enquiries from authors working across all fields of economics, but we are also interested in publishing books that test the boundaries between economics and other academic disciplines, including sociology, geography, philosophy and law.

Bristol University Press is accepting proposals for new publications, and we are particularly interested in the following topics:

Economic history
Political economy
Economic geography
The history of economic thought, and the philosophy of economics
Behavioural and experimental economics
Health, education and welfare
Development
Culture and society

We are also pleased to announce the development of our new series: Global Asian Political Economy, edited by Salvatore Babones, University of Sydney

If you are interested in submitting a proposal to Bristol University Press, please contact our Senior Commissioning Editor, Paul Stevens (paul.stevens@bristol.ac.uk) or visit our information for authors page to download our proposal guidelines.
