Human Geography


Bristol University Press will expand on the Policy Press list in this area which includes books by Danny Dorling, Anne Power, Rob Imrie, Allan Cochrane and Loretta Lees and has a strong social justice and communities focus.

Policy Press is well-known for atlases on social geography and inequality which have featured widely in the media, especially The human atlas of Europe and People and places.

This exciting new Human Geography list will continue to publish high-quality research monographs, grow our textbooks and topical cross-over trade books programme and commission new series. It will be international in scope and will extend into the following new areas:

Development geography

Geography and identity

Demography and migration

Qualitative and quantitative research methods

World cities

Political geography
