Celebrating our 2022 Journal Citation Metrics

We are proud to announce that Bristol University Press and Policy Press journals have achieved some of their best ever Impact Factor and Scopus CiteScore results this year.

Highlights include:

  • Policy & Politics has achieved its highest results ever with an Impact Factor of 4.7 and a CiteScore of 6.3. Policy & Politics is now ranked 16th out of 187 Political Science journals (Q1) and 7th out of 49 Public Administration journals (Q1) in the 2023 Journal Citation Reports.
  • Evidence & Policy achieved an Impact Factor of 2.1 and a CiteScore of 4.7, placing it in the 90th percentile of journals ranked in the Social Sciences (miscellaneous) category in Scopus.
  • We are delighted that nine Bristol University Press and Policy Press journals indexed in the Emerging Sources Citation Index received their first Impact Factors in the 2023 Journal Citation Reports.
  • The European Journal of Politics and Gender received an excellent first Impact Factor in the 2023 Journal Citation Reports. The journal achieved an Impact Factor of 2.1 and a CiteScore of 2.7, placing it in the 78th percentile of journals ranked in the Political Science and International Relations category in Scopus.
  • Global Discourse also received its first Impact Factor in the 2023 Journal Citation Reports, achieving an Impact Factor of 1.5 and a Cite Score of 3.3. Global Discourse is placed in the 84th percentile of journals ranked in the Political Science and International Relations category in Scopus.
  • According to the 2023 Journal Citation Reports total citations in 2022 across the Bristol University Press and Policy Press journals list increased by 10%.
