Politics and International Relations

Our Politics and International Relations list enables researchers to communicate with each other, with new generations of students and with a wider audience of thoughtful readers. It includes work from across the subdisciplines and reflects the variety of approaches and methods used in political analysis.

We seek to publish books that engage with today’s global challenges and with political change at domestic and international levels. We particularly welcome work that is attentive to the dynamics of power and to otherwise marginalized voices and perspectives.

The Policy Press imprint publishes titles in politics that strongly argue a particular point of view or seek to make an intervention in the national political conversation.

Meet the Editor

Stephen Wenham, Publisher

I studied politics at Bristol University and then spent over ten years at Palgrave Macmillan publishing books across the social sciences, most recently in politics. I am pleased to be back in Bristol and continuing to publish books in politics and international relations.

I enjoy working on subjects that I find so interesting and with researchers whose insights go far beyond headlines and soundbites. As an editor you can help authors find the best format for their research and to link them up with the small army of people required to successfully publish, promote and sell a book.
