Prestigious new journals from Bristol University Press!

Did you know that we will be expanding our journals list significantly as part of the development of Bristol University Press?  Already this year we launch two exciting new titles in areas which represent the changing profile of our list more generally. And this is only the start of our mission to publish the highest quality scholarship addressing global challenges across the social sciences.

In public economics the Journal of Public Finance and Public Choice relaunched with Bristol University Press in April, offering an online version for the first time since it was set up in 1983.  The relaunch was celebrated at a lively drinks reception at the European Public Choice conference in Rome attended by the Editors, Emma Galli and Giampaolo Garzarelli and many members of the Journal’s revitalized international editorial board.  Take a look at the first issue here.

In July the brand new European Journal of Politics and Gender launches with a packed double issue.  The flagship journal of the European Conference on Politics and Gender (ECPG) it is led by an outstanding and dynamic group of politics and gender scholars.  Watch out for the launch event at the European Consortium for Political Research in Hamburg in August.

Both journals come with striking cover designs reflecting the new Bristol University Press branding, we hope you like them!

Policy Press has been publishing journals for the past 22 years and our oldest journal Policy & Politics originally launched in 1972!  You can take a look at all ten journals in the Policy Press list and access free content via the links on our website.  All our journals offer open access options and we are keen to develop more open access content in the future.

Look out for more exciting titles on the journals list in 2019 and beyond.  If you want to talk to us about a new journal or about publishing your existing journal do get in touch with me at julia.mortimer@bristol.ac.uk.
