Ordering on our website

Individuals can order our publications securely online via this website. We can accept payment by Visa, Mastercard and American Express. See frequently asked questions for more information. Please see our terms and conditions of ordering for further details.

Customers ordering in Europe, please read the information found here and find a list of recommended local booksellers here.

Customers in Australia should order from New South Books.

Methods of payment

We accept payment by Credit/Debit card (Mastercard, Visa, American Express). Unfortunately, we cannot accept Maestro cards that don't have a CVC and expiration date. 

What are the delivery costs and lead times?

Please note, due to delivery delays that are unfortunately out of our control, there may be small delays on receiving your order in the run-up to Christmas. Apologies in advance for any inconvenience caused.

  • UK: £3.00 (5 - 10 working days delivery)
  • Europe (including Ireland): £6.00 (14 - 28 working days delivery)


US Domestic:

  • Standard $3.99 (3-5 days)
  • Expedited $8.99 (2-3 days)


International (Latin America and Canada, 10-20 days):

  • International Mail $6.99 (non-trackable)
  • Courier Express $10.99 (trackable)


Rest of World:

  • Rest of World: £12.00 (14 - 21 working days delivery)


Due to the current COVID-19 measures, some couriers are taking a little longer than usual to deliver, so delivery may be a couple of working days longer than advertised.

Orders will be processed and despatched within 5 working days.

Please note, print-on-demand titles may have a longer lead time.

Order confirmation

On receiving your order, our system will send over an order confirmation. We don’t currently send another email on dispatch of the book, but please do feel assured that we have received your order and our processing via our distributor.

Do you send deliveries tracked?

To keep our postage rates more affordable, we currently don’t send our orders tracked. If you need to send an order via traceable courier, please do email bup-sales@bristol.ac.uk to discuss any special requirements.

I have only received one part of my order?

If you have ordered multiple titles, some may be delivered separately if they are print-on-demand, pre-orders or not currently available in the warehouse.
