Global Sales Manager

We are looking for looking for a Global Sales Manager to implement our sales strategy and to increase sales in line with business growth targets. This is a fantastic opportunity to be a part of a dynamic, not-for-profit scholarly Press based at one of the world’s top universities.

The Global Sales Manager will be expected to deliver on ambitious UK and international sales targets for the books and eBooks portfolio and a knowledge of social science disciplines would be a distinct advantage. You will need to have managed a range of key accounts and agents and have experience of developing and implementing successful sales campaigns, preparing forecasts and reports, managing budgets and leading a staff team.

You should apply if you are a strong communicator, negotiator and presenter with excellent reporting, organisational and analytical skills and have a proven track record of delivering revenue growth and working under pressure.

Sales and Customer Services Administrator

We are looking for an enthusiastic, confident Sales and Customer Services Administrator to provide sales and customer administrative support to the Books and Journals Division. This role reports directly into the Institutional Key Account Manager.

Bristol University Press is launching a new eBook and Journal platform in January 2022. Prior to launch, you will be busy supporting the team with ongoing eBook and Journals administrative queries and get involved in all the preparation for the launch of the platform by developing sales, customer and marketing collateral, such as FAQs documentation and user guides. Then you will be the first point of contact for sales and customer queries  and you will have responsibility for handling day-to-day sales-related enquires from institutions, libraries, sales representatives, agents and authors.

You should apply if you have strong organisational skills and the ability to juggle competing priorities. Independence and initiative will be required to meet tight deadlines and accuracy and attention to detail are crucial. Experience of working in a customer service administrative role in a busy office environment is essential and ideally you will have some knowledge of publishing processes for books or journals.
