IJCC latest issue and thank you to Professor Sue Yeandle

We would like to offer our thanks to Professor Sue Yeandle, founding Editor of the International Journal of Care and Caring. Sue has recently stepped down from her role as Editor in Chief of the journal and the November issue of the journal was the last one she oversaw with a final editorial.

In her eight years as Editor in Chief Sue has developed IJCC from the kernel of an idea to a flourishing international journal. Thanks to her hard work and dedication the journal is now an essential resource for academics, practitioners and policymakers working in the field of care and caring around the world, with readership in 149 countries and territories in 2024.

Sue’s contribution cannot be understated; her vision and drive were pivotal in establishing IJCC, from using her extensive networks to bring in the best papers to assembling a fantastic Editorial Team and Advisory Board and continuously advocating for the journal.

Sue will be missed by the team at IJCC and Policy Press. However, she has been replaced by a fantastic team of Co-Editors who represent the journal’s multidisciplinary scope. This team include existing Co-Editors Yueh-Ching Chou (National Yang Ming Chiao Tung University, Taiwan) and Michael Fine (Macquarie University, Australia) and new Co-Editors Birgit Pfau-Effinger (Universität Hamburg, Germany), Costanzo Ranci (Politecnico di Milano, Italy) and Ricardo Rodrigues (University of Lisbon, Portugal).
