Call for Digital Engagement Editor
Bristol University Press (BUP) is seeking applications for the role of Associate Editor (Digital Engagement) for the Global Social Challenges Journal.

The role
The Associate Editor for Digital Engagement's central role is to increase the profile of the journal on social channels.
Who should apply?
Applicants should be social science researchers actively working on one or more of the global social challenges. It would be a great advantage to have experience of crossing disciplinary boundaries, and of seeking to apply research to policy and practice.
Applicants should also be very active on social media platforms, especially Twitter, and ideally have some experience of running an account.
What will you be doing?
- Working with BUP and the editorial team, to generate and publish social media content for the Journal several times a month
- Promoting the journal and increase its social media audience and levels of engagement, initially focusing on Twitter, but also introducing other platforms as relevant
- Identifying and follow Twitter users who might engage with the journal, to build the GSCJ Twitter account
- Keep up to date with the journal’s priority content for promotion – initially the call for submissions and Open Access information, then the launch issue and later papers
- Retweet, generate and publish regular Global Social Challenges related content (unrelated to the journal but of interest to the target audience) that increases audience reach and levels of engagement (original text, images, video or HTML)
- Collaborate with others (BUP staff, Managing Editor etc) to coordinate a schedule of social media activities

Initial term: 2 years, with an option to extend
