Launch of the Ageing in a Global Context series at the BSG conference

This exciting new series was launched last night at the bustling British Society of Gerontology conference.

Sheila Peace, outgoing BSG President, higlighted the fantastic link that the BSG and Policy Press have. Series Editor Thomas Scharf then outlined the main aims of the series, followed by words from Martin Hyde and Jaco Hoffman, the fantastic authors of the first two books. Commissioning Editor, Isobel Bainton closed, celebrating again the strength of the books and the fantastic collaboration we have with the BSG.

This major new series addresses broad cross-cutting issues around ageing in a global society. The books present innovative perspectives, reflecting a balance of topics across the global south and north, that will transform debate in this fast-moving field. Find out more here.
