Criminology

Our growing Criminology list takes a critical stance and features boundary pushing work with innovative, research-led publications. It’s a fantastic time to be involved and we welcome interdisciplinary work, new and exciting research methods, theory-based texts and policy orientated publications.

A particular focus of the list are books that engage with our global social challenges, both on a local and international level. We aim to publish books in a wide range of formats that will have real impact and shape public discourse.

We’ve got a range of exciting series and we’re always looking to sign up more.

We also have dedicated a criminal justice and policing list, published under our Policy Press imprint.

If you are interested in writing for us, please see the Commissioning Editor information below.

Meet the Editor

Rebecca Tomlinson, Commissioning Editor

After completing a Master’s Degree in Journalism, I got my first job in academic publishing at the Press. Since starting, I’ve had the opportunity to work on some of the most important contributions to the debate on social challenges around the globe.

As the editor for criminology and criminal justice books, I’ve been able to shape the list to include some of the most vital topics effecting the most vulnerable and marginalised groups in our society. It’s a privilege to work with the criminology community, who are all so passionate about the important work they’re doing and I think that shows in the fantastic books we’ve published so far.
