Ageing society

With the number of people aged over 60 tripling since 1950, and the combined senior and geriatric population projected to reach 2.1 billion by 2050, the world's ageing population is creating many new challenges.

The work we publish in this area helps identify and address the challenges that come with this increase in people reaching old age. It explores the many issues around ageing and health (including later life conditions like dementia), the implementation of age friendly cities, the prevelance of loneliness in senior citizens and the issues for carers who are looking after the elderly.

Through supporting organisations such as the British Society of Gerontology, our list raises awareness about, and aims to find solutions to, this global challenge by ensuring this invaluable research is accessible and able to have an impact on the wider global debate.
