Welcome to our International Society of Public Law Conference 2022 virtual stand

We hope you are enjoying the 2022 ICON-S Annual Conference.

As we look at events happening across the world in these rapidly changing times, it feels more important than ever to understand where injustices are taking place and how the law might need to develop to better respond to changes in our global society.

Our Law list has a focus on justice and human rights, exploring the way the law works to protect the things that are most important to our society. We publish authors whose experience and expertise puts them in a unique position to examine weaknesses in the law, authors who can shine a spotlight on injustice and put forward compelling proposals for change in policy and practice.

We are actively seeking to commission the highest quality work in public law which engages with contemporary socio-legal issues and explores the way the law is responding, or failing to respond, to everyday challenges in local and global contexts.

Meet the Editor

Becky Taylor, Senior Commissioning Editor

I have over 20 years’ experience as an editor in academic publishing, working with both large and small publishers such as Routledge, Pearson, Sage Publishing and Learning Matters. I have commissioned across many subject areas including law, health, psychology and research methods.

I have recently joined Bristol University Press after a few years as a freelance publishing consultant. Working at the Press is one of my most enjoyable roles to date. Our authors are passionate about their work and the team here are so experienced and friendly, committed to making each book the very best it can be. It’s very rewarding to help our authors to get their important work out into the world and to make a difference.
