Policy Press

International Development

Bristol University Press, and our imprint, Policy Press, has a long history of publishing award-winning scholarship with a focus on social issues that reaches beyond academia to government, professionals and the wider public to inform policy and practice. A not-for-profit publisher, we were proud to be named the Independent Publishers’ Guild (IPG) Independent Academic and Professional Publisher of the Year in 2016.

With a reputation for publishing on poverty, inequalities and social justice we are now actively looking to expand our International Development list and welcome proposals from those researching in this field, especially on topics that address global social challenges.

Meet the Editor

Stephen Wenham, Publisher

I studied politics at Bristol University and then spent over ten years at Palgrave Macmillan publishing books across the social sciences.

I enjoy working on subjects that I find so interesting and with researchers whose insights go far beyond headlines and soundbites. As an editor you can help authors find the best format for their research and to link them up with the small army of people required to successfully publish, promote and sell a book.

If you are interested in writing for our International Development list, please contact me at s.wenham@bristol.ac.uk or visit our information for authors page to download our proposal guidelines.
